I worked as a fish farmer (salmon) for the most part. The farm is located just off of Bainbridge Island. At the end of 1986 married Lauri Markwith, a1980 graduate. We have two daughters and just built a three bedroom rambler in 1989 and have done various “home improvements”.

VINSON, ARMANDA (MANDEVILLE)

I attended Olympic College for two and a half years in the nursing program before I married Brad Mandeville (1971 graduate from SK) and we had a daughter in 1976. We moved to Sacramento, CA in 1976 and on to Arkansas in 1977, we were stationed there in the military for seven years. In 1984, we moved back to California for four and a half years, then to Omaha, Nebraska for three and a half years. We are finishing our military duty in Marysville, California forty miles north of Sacramento, where we started twenty years ago.

My occupation: Homemaker, Sales Clerk, Receptionist for five doctors

Travels include: California, Arkansas, Nebraska and we have visited almost all of the other states
Hobbies/Interests: Sewing, reading, walking, quilting, volunteer work, and girl scouts, American Heart Association, church, Officers Wives Club, chaperones for our daughter’s functions in high school

WALBERG, TERRY (BROCK)

I attended Olympic College and was married in March 1974. Joined the Air Force was stationed at Mountain Home, Idaho. We worked on electronics related to F-111F fighter aircraft, had a son and daughter there. Came back to Washington in 1980 and we bought a house on six acres. Our youngest was born in 1985. I’ve enjoyed volunteer work at Bethany Lutheran Elementary. Summers I help with Bible camp at Olympic Lutherhaven on Wildcat Lake. For the past four years I’ve directed Senior Choir at Bethany Lutheran Church. I also enjoy teaching piano. It’s a little hard to squeeze twenty years of living on just seven lines!!!

Travels include: Last spring we went to Maui for ten days
Hobbies/Interests: My passion is really choir but also enjoy flower gardening. This spring we raised a Stellar Jay that had fallen from a nest.
Remember most: “Hello, Dolly”, concert choir, and the Highlighters. Sitting outside in front of the central building eating lunch

Last twenty years: Lonnie has worked for PSNS for nineteen of those years as an Electrician. He has had the opportunity to work in New York, California, Hawaii and recently Japan. Lonnie’s hobbies are beer and wine making which he is an active member of two brew clubs. He also enjoys tending to his own small vineyard at his home. He has been soccer coach for both of his sons; currently, he is helping them with their bicycle BMX racing.

Last twenty years: Sherry worked for McGavin’s Bakery for seven years until the boys came along then stayed home to be with them. Currently she is very active with the school and volunteers a couple days a week. For the last four years she has been in business with her sister doing hand-painted shirts, selling them at art and craft shows, and to gift shops. She is also an active member of the Kitsap Regional Farmers’ Market Association. Besides painting, she enjoys sewing and snow skiing.

We’ve done a lot of working: Nick- PSNS for twenty years currently a Supervisor. Elissa- Freelance Graphics Artist, ATA Grad, AA Grad, PSNS Apprentice Grad… and playing: sailing our boat, skiing Washington and Oregon, enjoying Nick’s kids, working on our condo…and the biggee: getting married!!!

Travels include: Sailing the Northwest waters, hiking N. California
Hobbies/Interests: sailing (racing and cruising), skiing, fishing, hiking, camping, violin (Elissa, guitar (Nick)
Remember most: Elissa: Graduation!! Nick: The last day of school

If I knew what I know now!...Right!! What a life! Basically, I’ve endeavored to be a good mom and maintain some direction and sanity!!

My occupation: I have worked off and on for the “teen-parent” program for the SK school district! Also have done daycare/preschool programs

Travels include: Canada, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and California
Hobbies/Interests: raising various pets (horse, goats, puppies, pigs), oh gosh! a farmer?!?

Followed my husband in the Air Force around the world…
1973-1974, San Antonio, TX; 1974-1978, Japan; 1978-1979, Champaign, IL; 1979-1982, Las Vegas, NV; 1982-1986, Great Falls, MT; 1986-1990, Germany; 1990 to present Sacramento, CA. Have moved ten times, toured and experienced ten different countries. What more could you want?

I work full time for Johnson Controls at Kings Bay Naval Base as a Data Entry Clerk. Two nights a week I do aftercare for Willingway Hospital, drug and alcohol abuse. I will be a Grandma in December. I enjoy the beach and the hot weather here in the South.

My husband is employed as a Planner.
Travels include: seeing the South

We have been married nineteen years. I worked as assistant manager for two years at a clothing store until I had my kids. I went back to work three years ago as a receptionist at a beauty salon. I am involved in my church as leader of our women’s group and sing in the choir. We had a home built in Port Orchard four years ago.

I moved several times but have settled in Olalla on eight acres. We built our own home and are slowly landscaping. For the last nine years, I‘ve been at home with our girls, getting busier all the time with their school and other activities –including coaching a soccer team!

I have been married to the same wonderful man for nineteen years. I have stayed in the Bremerton area. In fact I have lived in the same house for seventeen years! I have a great job at Tracyton Elementary that allows me lots of time for my “career” as a mother of two beautiful girls. My husband and I are involved in the music business in the area, my husband plays bass in a local band and I do most of the promotional work for his band.

My occupation: Mother and I’m also cashier at Tracyton Elementary

Travels include: Too busy for anything farther away than Southern California
