Well… went off to college (WWU), dropped out, worked odd jobs, went back to college, dropped out again. Worked with Whatcom County road department on road crew for a couple years. Worked for the US Forest Service several years on fire crews during the warmer months and other crews during the rest of the year. Injured my back which ended my fire-fighting career. Went back to college and finally (!) got my degree a BS in Marine Biology and training on computers and bookkeeping. Recently I have worked as a bookkeeper or secretary for local agencies.

My occupation: Cashier/Hostess at Family Pancake House and occasional “odd” jobs
Travels include: All over western and parts of eastern Washington mainly on forest fires
Hobbies/Interests: gardening and houseplants, reading and writing, ceramics, beachcombing, sciences, especially biology, archaeology,
Remember most: actually enjoyed school, wondering if central building was going to collapse before we graduated
