Welcome to the twenty year reunion of the South Kitsap High School Class of ’73!
Since early this year the Reunion Committee has been busy working towards the events of this weekend. Scheduled meetings had us discussing budgets, decorations, food, music, survey books, picture books, mailings where is who and who is where. Each committee member accepted a specific area of responsibility for the reunion. Yes, sometimes it was felt that possibly the bite we took was too big and our efforts needed to be rebalanced. Yet the combined efforts remained focused on the initial goals and have allowed us to gather for the sharing of memories, joys and dreams.
All committee members strove toward locating SKHS ’73 classmates. Their telephone calls generated numerous stories that were shared during our meetings. As registrations and surveys arrived in the mail and the reunion weekend drew near, one could sense a building excitement; an excitement of seeing the SKHS Class of ’73 together again.
Most recently, we received an unsigned letter that we would like to share with you. The letter is printed in it’s entirety on the following page. Please take a moment for reflection upon the letters meaning. And tonight “when you shake hands, hug and smile back into those faces of your long time friends take an extra second to embrace the special privilege of seeing one another again.”
